Hi all, today we have some important news for you about Consecration’s new album „Cimet“.

We started a two-month crowdfunding campaign over at Pledgemusic to raise funds for the production of Consecration’s newest release. The album was recently finished and both the band and us at Geenger Records have a big wish to publish it on vinyl record, a format that is experiencing its comeback and that we feel will capture the energy and atmosphere of the album in the best manner possible. Unfortunately, this is hard to accomplish by ourselves (we had plans to publish their last album „.avi“ on vinyl as well, but couldn’t because of lack of the funds), so we decided to ask for your help using Pledgemusic. It’s also important to mention that the whole campaign has some charity work involved, as we will donate 10% of the final amount to The David Lynch Foundation. Here’s a short explanation on how this thing works:

1. Make a pledge: Purchase any of the exclusives listed to the right. You won’t be charged until 100% of the target is reached. Please note that we can go beyond 100% - all funds beyond the goal will go into the further promotion of the record.

2. Spread the word: By linking this pledge page on your social networks (facebook, twitter, etc.) you can share the news of Consecration’s new album with your friends. The more people involved, the better!

3. Updates: We’ll send you updates (pledgers will receive exclusive content such as photos, videos, blogs etc.) throughout the duration of the campaign. You’ll have insight into the progress of the project and will receive the digital version of the album before anybody else, on 1st December.

4. Charity: Once we reach our target, we will donate 10% of any money raised to The David Lynch Foundation, which is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to transform schools from places of stress and violence into centers of peace, calm and coherence.

5. Get your stuff!: Pledges will be fulfilled as quickly as possible once the production of the vinyl record and other merchandise is complete, and this is no later than 1st March 2013!

We hope you can back us up and make this release happen – also making us one of the first bands and labels from these parts of the world to accomplish such thing using a fan-funding platform. We are deeply thankful for all your contributions – hope you will enjoy your copy of the record and/or other merchandise you chose. Please help us spread the word!
