od fjužna, preko ludačkog daba, fanka, roka i 80's sekvencovane trens psihodelije, do elektronike, ambijenta i razne rokačine. ovaj bend je nezamenjiv! već 6-7 godina sigurno uživam njihovu muziku.

Ozric Tentacles (commonly known as the Ozrics) are an instrumental rock band from Somerset, England, whose music can loosely be described as psychedelic or space rock. Formed in 1984, the band has released 28 albums as of 2009, and become a cottage industry selling over a million albums worldwide[citation needed] despite never having major label backing.

Its music is a highly psychedelic mixture of thumping basslines, sound effects and keyboard and guitar work, with a sound influenced by Steve Hillage and Gong.[citation needed] Many of the Ozrics' songs are in unusual time signatures and/or unusual Eastern-influenced modes. Furthermore, the band often features complex arrangements which change time signature, key signature and tempo frequently in the course of a track, a well-known element present in Progressive rock. In places, this is deliberately confusing; however, there are also moments of straightforward funk-influenced grooves and a strong influence from jazz fusion.

These features are mixed with electronic elements, including densely layered psytrance- and techno-influenced arpeggiated synthesisers, pads, synth basslines, effects and programmed drumbeats. It also has a strong influence from dub and ambient music, with many quiet relaxed tracks that balance the frenetic, intense material.

The Ozrics also use a wide range of instruments in their performances. Electric and acoustic guitars, flutes, recorders, xylophones and even sounds of digitally tweaked human voices appear throughout.

Nikada nisam bio od onih koji su u fazonu Srbija ovo, Srbija ono, ali bre ljudi kod nas se zakucaju u 3 benda ceo život i nič dalje.
Čisto da napomenem da ovi bendovi koje je Nyarlathotep prikazao ovde nisu ni malo "DEMO" (mrzim taj domaći izraz) i da snimaju skupe albume, sviraju na velikim festivalima i sluša ih stvarno mnogo ljudi.

Wooden Shjips (sic) is a vital and refreshingly inspired quartet from San Francisco playing loud rock ‘n’ roll in a style heavily influenced by the experimentalism of psychedelia, classical minimalism and garage rock excess. Started as an experiment in rhythmic primitivism and group improvisation, the current lineup brings a more structured rock approach to its performances, utilizing a traditional lineup of drums (Omar Ahsanuddin), bass (Dusty Jermier), organ (Nash Whalen), guitar (Erik “Ripley” Johnson) and vocals.

Its songs sound something akin to the icy garage rock of early Echo & The Bunnymen crossed with the sun-bleached tremolo-punk of The Scientists. There are hints of krautrock, the trance-inducing organ haze of Suicide, Deerhunter style dance-drone, classic desert-fried garage psych and the mysterious, obscure Japanese lysergic-rock band Les Rallizes Denudes all mixed into one explosive whole on Wooden Shjips self-titled Holy Mountain debut.

The experience of Wooden Shjips has been equated to that of the Japanese phenomenon called maboroshi, which is somewhat similar to seeing a mirage or hallucinating in time. In the context of imagination/dreams, maboroshi is attributed to past occurrences and can take on a meaning like “phantoms.” The group’s songs seem to exist in a dream state in which anything is possible.

Wooden Shjips released two acclaimed records in 2006, beginning early in the year with the self-released 10” EP Shrinking Moon for You.

da, ta folk scena se pojavila paralelno sa novim talasom stoner i psy rok ludila. sve je to lepo i predivno.

Privukao me je naslov teme, mada vidim da se govori o novijim bendovima koje, priznajem, nisam slušao. Naravno, potrudiću se pa ako ima kreacije koja je po mom ukusu šta drugo nego da se zahvalim na korisnim informacijama i osvežim kolekciju.
Ja slušam staru školu i tu sam na svom terenu. Volim frisko sound 60-tih, ali i ''bombardere'' iz tog perioda. Nekad je doći do grupa koje ću vam na kraju navesti bilo kao traganje za zlatom. Pošto sada preko interneta može sve da se čuje, a bogami mnogo toga i da se vidi, predlažem da poslušate neke od mojih omiljenih grupa, koje, verujem, imaju dovoljan punch i u poređenju sa novijim bendovima.
E, sad, problem sa internetom je što vi dobijate informacije na pretek, ali da bi spoznali kakav je zaista zvuk u pitanju, (s obzirom da je to snimano pre skoro pola veka ) morali bi ste da slušate na kvalitetnoj vintage opremi. Verujem da imate ,,nerv'' i za visokoenergetski psihodelični hard rok stare proizvodnje, pa ako vam se svidi, znate bar šta je od starog ostalo a da vredi ( a ima toga podosta). Evo nekih mojih predloga - sa nazivom benda, odakle je, nazivom albuma i godinom izdavanja:
