Podešavanje i Instaliranje Windowsa Za Rad Sa Zvukom

Neke od mojih preporuka. Uključite se sa savetima:

Instalirajte Windows, instalirajte Service Pack 2, instalirajte sve nove apdejte pomoću AutoPatchera ( http://www.autopatcher.com/downloads/ ), pošto ćete sa njima dobiti - za zvuk bitan - .Net Framework 3. AutoPatcher je sasvim legalan, podržan od Majkrosofta mada nije njihov proizvod, i ne pita ništa o legalnosti Windowsa.

Tada instalirajte antivirus i firewall po želji, a zatim programe koji vam odmah trebaju.

(Zatim Asio4All, ako ih koristite, najnoviju verziju.)

Onda pređite na muziku: prvo, u ovom primeru, CuBase (inače program po vašem izboru), a zatim podešavanja CuBasea. Start - All Programs - Cubase - ASIO DirectX Full Duplex Setup i ASIO Multimedia Setup. Prvo to odradite, zatim otvorite CuBase, idite na Device Setup, i ukažite mu na one ASIO drajvere koje koristite. Uključite "Release ASIO Driver In Background", isključite "Direct Monitoring".

Zatim instalirajte VSTove koje hoćete, a onda idite na instalaciju dodatnih programa - AdAware, Spybot Search and Destroy, i tako to.

Za kraj podesite Windows da dobro radi sa zvukom: Start - Control Panel - System - Advanced, tu birate "Performance", u njima "Advanced", opcija "Adjust For Best Performance Of" treba da bude na "Background Services". Na taj način "snaga" procsora ide VST plaginovima.

Zatim: Start - Control Panel - Sounds And Audio Devices - Sounds, "Sound Scheme" na "No Sound" (da neki Windowsov zvuk ne uništi sample rate sekvencera, to jest da ne triggeruje obaranje sample ratea na bednih osam bita).

Pre nego što dam malo konkretnija uputstva za optimizaciju windowsa za rad sa snimanjem i obradom zvuka, napomenuo bih da instalacija firewalla A NAROČITO ANTIVIRUSA može izuzetno da uspori rad!!! Znači, ako želite miran, bezbedan i transparentan rad sa zvukom na vašem računaru potrudite se da imate što manje instaliranih aplikacija a naročito onih koje su stalno aktivne u pozadini.

A sad, evo malo konkretnijih stvari:

1. Processor scheduling staviti na background services (ovo je jako važno).
Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Advanced Tab > Background Services

2. Visual effects staviti na minimum.
Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Visual Effects Tab > Adjust for best performance
(možete i prebaciti na custom i ukjučiti samo use common task in folders)

3. iskjučiti Desktop Background Image
Right Click Desktop > Properties > Desktop Tab > Background None

4. iskjučiti Screen Saver
Right Click Desktop > Properties > Screen Saver > None

5. iskjučiti Fast User Switching
Start > Settings > Control Panel > User Accounts > Change the way users log on or off > Untick Use Fast User Switching

6. iskjučiti Power Schemes
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Power Options > Always On > Turn off monitor and turn off hard discs to Never

7. iskjučiti Hibernation
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Power Options > Hibernate > Untick Hibernation

8. aktivirati DMA na Hard Diskovima/CD ROMS
Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers > Right Click Primary IDE channel and Secondary IDE channel > Properties > Advanced Settings Tab > Transfer Mode to "DMA if available" for both devices.

9. iskjučiti System Sounds
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Sounds Tab > Sound Scheme to None.

10. Do Not Map Through Soundcard
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Hardware Tab > (highlight your soundcard from the list) > Properties > Audio Devices > (highlight your soundcard from the list) > Properties, and check the "Do not map through this device" checkbox.

11. iskjučiti System Restore
Start > Settings > Control Panel> System > System Restore Tab. Tick the "Turn off System Restore on all Drives"

12. iskjučiti Automatic Updates
Start > Settings > Control Panel> System > Automatic Updates > Turn off automatic updating. I want to update my computer manually

13. iskjučiti Error Reporting
Start > Settings > Control Panel> System > Advanced > Error Reporting > Disable Error Reporting

14. iskjučiti Remote Assistance
Start > Settings > Control Panel> System > Remote > Untick Allow remote assistance invitations to be sent from this computer

15. fixirati Swap File (Virtual Memory)
Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Advanced > Virtual Memory Change > Custom Size. (Stavite najmanju i najveću na istu vrednost)

16. iskjučiti Offline Files
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Folder Options > Offline Files Untick "Enable Offline Files"

17. iskjučiti Remote Desktop
Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Remote > Untick "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer"

18. iskjučiti Internet Synchronise Time
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Date and Time > Internet Time > Untick "Automatically synchronize with internet time server"

19. iskjučiti Hide Inactive Icons
Start > Settings > Taskbar and Start Menu > Taskbar TAB > Uncheck "Hide Inactive Icons"

20. iskjučiti Automatic Desktop Cleanup Wizard
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Desktop > Customise Desktop > Untick "Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard every 60 days"

21. iskjučiti NTFS Last Access Time Logging (NTFS File Systems Only)
Start > Run > regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Control > Filesystem. Add a new DWORD-value NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate and set value to 1.

22. iskjučiti Creation of DOS Compatible 8.3 filenames (NTFS Only)
Start > Run > regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Control > Filesystem. Set the NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation to 1.

23. iskjučiti CDROM Autoplay
Start > Run > regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Services > Cdrom. Set AutoRun to 0.

24. iskjučiti Notification Area Balloon Tips
Start > Run > regedit > HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Explorer > Advanced. Create a new DWORD value called EnableBalloonTips and set to 0.

25. iskjučiti Disc Indexing Service
Right Click Start > Explorer > Right Click Each Disc > Properties > Untick "Allow Indexing Service to index this disc for fast file searching".

26. iskjučiti nepotrebne Startupe
Start > Run > Typing "msconfig" > Startup > untick any items you don't need. (meni se dize samo SFP - sve ostalo je iskjuceno)

27. namestiti Hardware Graphics Acceleration on FULL
Right click Desktop > Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshooting > Hardware Acceleration > to full.


28. unistalirajte Microsoft Messenger
c:\windows\inf\sysoc.inf > "msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide,7" > remove word 'hide' > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Uninstall Messenger.

29. iskjučiti Write Caching On The Disk
Right click My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > Disk Drives > Properties > Untick "Enabled Write Caching On The Disk".

30. iskjučiti nepotrebne servise
Start > Run > Type "services.msc"

Pretpostavljate da sa ovako fašistički nameštenom mašinom ništa drugo nećete moći da radite osim da obrađujete zvuk. Stoga predlažem da napravite jednu (poveliku) particiju na kojoj ćete raditi samo zvuk i da na njoj ne petljate ni sa čim drugim. Hard diskovi su danas razumno jeftini i može se za vrlo male pare kupiti disk velikog kapaciteta i napraviti mu se jedna komotna particija sa lepo podešenim windowsom na kojoj će audio raditi savršeno. Možda čak i bolja varijanta bi bila da takav sistem instalirate na odvojen hard disk no to povećava troškove tako da... moraćete da se odlučite.
